After nine years of experience within Disney, Prageeth Kumar wanted to go back to study to deepen his knowledge on hospitality management. He researched postgraduate programs in the UK, the US, Australia and Switzerland. He finally chose GIHE as its reputation stood out from all the other Universities and because the institute was recommended to him by a mentor.

"To have an American recognized MBA program in a famous Swiss Hospitality School was a double advantage and perhaps the best option." Prageeth Kumar graduated in 2008 with an MBA in hospitality management and is always proud to talk about Glion. He appreciates that three years after his graduation, the professors are still giving him valuable input and advice. He also likes the fact that his friends and classmates became like family and that the "Glion Spirit" is still lively in spite of their hectic lives around the world. "In a professional way, to be a manager who graduated from GIHE means that you are taken very seriously and many people envy you".

Since his graduation, Prageeth Kumar has been working in Dubai and in Egypt. He is now working for the Al Ain Wildlife Park & Resort in the Middle East. He works as Section Head-Food Services where he is responsible for introducing new concepts and creating F&B brands, to contribute towards significant revenue generation in the park. He is also developing sustainable, biodegradable and healthy living concepts. "I took this job as it was exciting to be part of a team who were transforming a 35 acre zoo into a 2000 acre park with modern facilities staying in touch with nature and harmonious living in mind." Prageeth Kumar stresses that even if they are developing very fast, they try to keep the tradition and culture of the place alive. "Each day is a unique learning experience full of action and FUN" says the Glion alumnus.

In the near future, Prageeth Kumar intends to contribute by opening more outlets in the park and to take part of this revolutionary change in the Middle East. "In the future, I aspire to take the experience of this job to another level by becoming a General Manager where my team and I can further contribute to the beauty of nature or to the wonderful world of Hospitality".

Les Roches Alumnus Sandeep Abichandani has clearly found his way in Shanghai, China. The Indian citizen won the Best Indian Restaurant in Shanghai award for 2010 with his restaurant "Kebabs on the Grille". The restaurant, located in the trendy area of the Cool Docks on the edge of the Huang Pu River, is one of the finest restaurants in Shanghai and offers an exciting dining experience, rarely found outside of India.

Sandeep Abichanandani, managing director of "Kebabs on the grille" is extremely successful since he moved to the lively Chinese city of Shanghai. He is in the final stages of opening his second restaurant, which will have a focus on the Thai cuisine. With "Kebabs on the grille", Sandeep Abichanandani brought the concept of a live grill for Indian Cuisine to Shanghai for the first time in the history of the city.
