Established in 1995 in close affiliation with the prestigious Cornell University
School of Hotel Administration, the Australian International Hotel School in Canberra
has maintained a world class reputation for the academic excellence and rigor of
its programs and teaching.
Australian International Hotel School has the distinction of being the only degree-
awarding hotel school in the southern hemisphere that operates its own commercial
Hotel property on site, the $ Star boutique Hotel Kurrajong, where students gain
real-life training and experience as hoteliers.
Australian International Hotel School offers undergraduate and post graduate level
programs which includes skills-training and practice under professional supervision
as staff of the Hotel Kuurajong.
Australian International Hotel School is a unique educational environment: a boutique
hotel school with its own live training hotel. In an intimate campus setting, each
student is nurtured and mentored as an individual to bring out their strengths as
multi-skilled professional managers.
Campus
Australian International Hotel School has a unique location in the heart of the
Australian capital, Canberra, the centre of political power, a popular tourism destination
and a well-recognised university city offering great resources and lifestyle.
Canberra is also an ideal location to teach International Event Management as it
plays host to national celebrations and major sporting, arts and cultural events.
The city is noted for its architecture and well-laid out streets, parks and public
spaces. Tourist attractions include the National Convention Centre, the National
Gallery of Australia, the National Library, the Questacon National Science and Technology
Centre, the High Court. Other well known Canberra based events include the famous

do a part time job up to 20 hours per week to take care of their pocket expenses.
